A PUB BOSS developing a run down quarter of Blackburn town centre is hoping to create a shopping oasis dedicated purely to women.
Margo Grimshaw, who is behind a £7million development in Market Street Lane, hopes that when it is finished in two years it will boast 13 boutique-style shops along with 78 apartments.
Demolition work is under way to clear The Castle, C'est La Vie, Never Never Land and Mr G's nightclub to make way for the Cath-edral Court development.
"I want it to be called something like Ladies World. It will be for women so they can come in and get accessories and clothes, virtually all they could want in one place," she said.
"The whole development will bring the area back to life it will revitalise the town centre."
The nearby Swan pub, in Higher Church Street, is also set to be demolished to make way for an entrance to planned underground parking.
