A teenager kicked in a £250 reinforced glass door window at a takeaway because he thought the staff were "giving him the evils," a court heard.
Blackburn magistrates heard the incident came at the end of a bizarre evening during which Nicholas Talbot claimed he had been set on fire by his friends.
Peter King, defending, said his client had effectively been "tortured" and still had the scars to show as a result.
"That had nothing to do with the takeaway or the staff there but he lashed out in sheer frustration," said Mr King.
Talbot, 19, of Green Park, Whalley, pleaded guilty to criminal damage.
He was sentenced to a total of 140 days in prison after the magistrates invoked a suspended sentence imposed just two months before the latest offence.
The court heard that staff at Montague Street Curry Corner were about to close for the night when Talbot appeared and started banging on the window.
He then kicked the glass door panel with such forced that it shattered.
