AN accident caused delays on the M65 yesterday after a lorry blocked two lanes between junction three Riley Green and junction four, Lower Darwen.
The incident happened around 9.10am when a lorry carrying chemicals crashed at the scene of a previous accident on the hard shoulder.
A following saloon car tried to avoid the lorry and was hit by an HGV, sandwiching.
One woman suffered minor injuries and part of the westbound motorway was closed for several hours.
