THE meaning of life might not sound like the funniest topic to base a comedy set around.

But chit-chat free comic Francesca Martinez somehow managed to talk about politics, religion and living with cerebral palsy and still had the crowd in stitches!

Not shying away from her disability, most of her material was based around her life experiences and other people’s reactions to her CP, making for some real laugh-out-loud moments.

Referring to herself as “wobbly” she joked how she wouldn’t make a very good stalker: “Excuse me, I’m trying to follow you, could you just slow down a bit please?”

Other highlights included a hilarious skit about Jesus failing as one of Sir Alan Sugar’s Apprentices based on his lack of business acumen.

She mimicked:“I don’t want to hire a prophet, I want to make one. Jesus, you’ve had your last supper. You’re fired.”

To call the instantly likeable Francesca one of the UK’s best disabled comedians would be an insult to her talent.

Her well-structured comedy, obvious intelligence, and thought-provoking material puts her at the top of her game. Her disability doesn’t even come into it.

She’s definitely one to watch out for.
