THE pioneering stand-up show which showcases Anglo-Asian comedy returned to Blackburn last night.
Maybe it was Tuesday night syndrome, but whatever the reason, the atmosphere was a little flat and the audience seemed more content to listen and smile rather than laugh uproariously.
Scheduled compere Jonathan Mayor was forced to pull out due to illness and John Cooper did a valiant job trying to get the most out of a decent-sized crowd.
Isma Almas struck just the right note with a wry look at life from a female perspective (although much of her act was the same as her last visit) and headliner Kulvinder Ghir from Goodness Gracious Me started very brightly although his act tailed off towards the end.
An interesting night if not an hysterical one, it was still a decent show.
