HOW do you get 250 women and a handful of men to chant obscenities in a theatre?
The Vagina Monologues – based on author Eve Ensler’s "vagina interviews" – certainly succeeded.
Everyone from Whoppi Goldberg to Jerry Hall have famously taken part in the show all over the world.
But at Blackburn last night it was Corrie's Sally Lindsay and Tina Gambe; and Only Fools and Horses' Sue Holderness.
Sue (Marlene) stole the show, her wealth of theatre experience shining through and casting the other two actresses in the shade.
Sally Lindsay's shouty acting style would have benefited from her microphone being turned down a notch — an opinion echoed by many.
But with just a basic set of just microphones and stools, the trio engaged the audience in a thought-provoking and uplifting night out.
