Kim Kardashian West has said homeschooling her children during the coronavirus pandemic has given her “a newfound respect for teachers”.

The reality star has been staying at home in Calabasas, California with her husband Kanye West and their children North, six, Saint, four, Chicago, two and Psalm, ten months, during the health crisis.

She told US chat show The View: “I actually love that time because we do travel so much in our regular world, the family bonding part of it all, going on walks outside.

“We have watched every single movie you can possibly imagine, showing the kids all these 80s movies like Harry And the Hendersons.”

She added: “I love all the family bonding stuff but I’ve been doing laundry and cooking and the kids just got on spring break, thank god, because being their teacher too….my newfound respect for teachers, they deserve so much.

“It’s been tough juggling it all. You really have to put yourself on the back burner and just focus on the kids.”

Kardashian West also discussed the fall-out from her headline-making fight with sister Kourtney, which was shown on their reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

The sisters were seen coming to blows, with punches and kicks thrown during an expletive-filled row following a dispute over Kourtney’s workload, with Kim hinting her older sister – who has considered quitting the show for a more private life – was lazy.

She told the US talk show: “I never want to result to violence like that.

“Looking back, it also made me realise what Kourtney’s really feeling and going through. It made me more sympathetic to her situation.”

She continued that the “frustration” she and her younger sister Khloe Kardashian had with their older sister was her indecisiveness.

She said: “She’d complain every time she’d be there and be such a buzzkill, but not make a definitive choice.

“That limbo was really frustrating for everyone.”

She added: “I think what people didn’t see is I had all these scratches.
I was bleeding.

“We actually had to shut down production for a week after that because everyone was just so shook. It was just so uncharacteristic of us to really act like that.”

She said the sisters have since worked it out, but confirmed Kourtney is “taking time off from filming”.

She added: “I’m sure if we’re filming and she comes down to dinner, of course we’ll see her on.

“But as far as her getting a schedule of where to be and what time and places and all that, that’s not really gonna happen for her for a while.”
