Pendle Hippodrome Theatre celebrates its 25th year operating as a fully-restored Edwardian theatre with The Producers, from March 29 to April 2.

The national tour set, as seen in Manchester, is now in place for the Pendle Hippodrome Theatre Company show.

Society spokeswoman Milly Greenwood said: “The Producers features one of the most talented casts ever to be assembled on the Pendle Hippodrome stage.

“The scenery is huge, the costumes spectacular, and what can we say about the zimmerframe tap dancing chorus line of Old Ladies?

“And Springtime For Hitler will be an absolute show stopper.

“Howard Raw stars as Max Bialystock, who finances his productions by ‘entertaining’ sex-starved ‘Little Old Ladies’.

“A very talented cast will join Howard; Rob Hartley plays Leo Bloom, his co-producer and fraudster and Penelope Hall plays the ultra-sexy Swedish blonde Ulla.

"James Cockerill plays Roger and a totally outrageous Hitler, while Sam Crabtree plays mad German Franz and Simon Jackson takes the role of the exceedingly camp Carmen to perfection.”

The show has been ‘Produced’ by Steve Royle with Barry Jackson as musical director and Vicky Royle as choreographer.

With more than 60 people coming to initial meetings for Mel Brooks’ musical comedy The Producers, the society decided it would not be possible to feature them all in the show and made the difficult call to try out all cast members.
