Hollywood, the track that brought her to the national consciousness after her bagging second place on the BBC’s Sound of 2010 poll, showcased her theatrically deep voice to impressive effect.

Born Marina Diamandis, the half-Greek, half-Welsh singer is gaining a following for her inventive songwriting, theatrical stage shows and dazzling style.

Practically foaming at the mouth with enthusiasm, the BBC said that “if a young Liza Minnelli was starring in a Broadway musical telling Tori Amos’s life story, it might sound like this”.
