Old soldier Lee Manley is trying to trace old comrade Robert Gill so they can get together for a 50-year reunion in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
Mr Manley, 65, of Exeter, said he met Mr Gill met when they joined up in 1956 in Harrogate before being stationed in Lincoln together.
The last address he had for Mr Gill was Clayton Croft, Clayton-le-Dale, but as this was his parents' home he was unlikely to still be there.
He said: "We joined up as boy soldiers at the age of 15 or 16 but I haven't seen Bob since 1960.
"The message is that if anybody has information about Bob or knows his whereabouts then please get in touch with me."
Mr Manley can be contacted on 01392 251620.
