RECORDING the halcyon days of the Lodestar at Ribchester is the next project for former owner, Blackburn businesswoman Margo Grimshaw.
But she needs readers to share their memories of the former pub and nightclub.
She said: “So many people have asked me to write about the Lodestar and its glory days, but I can’t do it without you.
“Maybe you were there when Bob Geldof and the Boom Town Rats did their first ever gig, or you might have been one of those ‘pogo dancing’ to the Sex Pistols.
“Did you come to see Ken Dodd, Len Fairclough or Phil Cool, were you one of our beauty queens or maybe a Mr Lodestar, “Perhaps you dropped in on the Sunday markets or took part in the ‘all dayers’.
Margo added: “Could it be we were the only disco with its own chip shop and do you remember the Vic bar with its Victorian adverts?”
