THESE photographs depict Newchurch in Rossendale in a bygone era.
They were on show at a heritage open day, staged at St Nicholas’ Church, and gave local residents the chance to step back in time.
Visitors to the display found out more about the history of the church and the village, and were also offered the opportunity to look at old birth, marriage and death records.
Our pictures, above and right, show the Rev Sue Davies, vicar of St Nicholas’, looking over the display, alongside some street scenes from the past.
Do you recognise where the photographs were taken?
They certainly appear to be from the late 1800s, or early 1900s, which would mean they are more than 100 years old.
