MOVE the clock forward a few decades and this photograph shows Belgrave Mill, in Darwen, hard at work in 1935.
Then owned by Crown, the lasses from the factory were busy producing decorative shields to mark the Silver Jubilee of King George V.
They were permanent, commemorative decorations made in honour of his 25-year reign, which had begun in 1910.
