ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 PROHIBITION OF TURNING MOVEMENTS FOR CYCLISTS ORDER - 2020 - EAST WARD - BURY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1,2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police for Greater Manchester, proposes to introduce prohibition of cycle turning movement traffic regulation orders at the following locations:
i) B6222 Bell Lane - Bury - Prohibition of right turn for cyclists exiting Hoyles Park on to the proposed Segregated Pedestrian & Cycle crossing adjacent to Hoyles Park (Ref. PC79J
ii) B6222 Bell Lane - Bury - Prohibition of left turn for cyclists exiting the unnamed road opposite Hoyles Park on to the proposed Segregated Pedestrian & Cycle crossing adjacent to Hoyles Park (Ref. PC79)
iii) B6221 Wash Lane - Bury - Prohibition of right turn for cyclists exiting Pine Street on to the Segregated Pedestrian & Cycle crossing that runs between Pine Street & Pine Street South (Ref. PC82)
iv) B6221 Wash Lane - Bury - Prohibition of left turn for cyclists exiting Pine Street South on to the Segregated Pedestrian & Cycle crossing that runs between Pine Street & Pine Street South Ref. (Ref. PC82)
A copy of the plans showing the locations of the new Segregated Pedestrian & Cycle crossings and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the proposals may be requested by email at

quoting reference TM2/20/483 for the overall scheme proposals or the PC sub reference for an individual site. All representations whether in support or objecting to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made must be made in writing and sent to the Head of Engineering, 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury BL9 OEJ or preferably by email to

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 NEW TOUCAN CROSSINGS / NEW SEGREGATED PEDESTRIAN & CYCLE CROSSING / REMOVAL OF OLD PELICAN CROSSING, VARIOUS SITES, EAST WARD - BURY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council in exercise of its powers under section 23 of Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police for Greater Manchester, proposes to install new Toucan / Segregated Pedestrian & Cycle crossings and remove an existing Pelican crossing in the East Ward area not less than 28 days from the date of this notice at the following locations.
i) B6219 Parsonage Street - Bury - proposed new Toucan Crossing - adjacent to Cedar Street (Ref. PC80)
ii) B6221 Wash Lane - Bury - proposed new Segregated Pedestrian & Cycle crossing - adjacent to Pine Street South (Ref. PC82)
iii) B6221 Wash Lane - Bury - proposed removal of existing Pelican Crossing - 10m north west of Pine Street South - (Ref. PC82)
iv) A58 Rochdale Road - Bury - proposed new Toucan Crossing - adjacent to Pine Street South - (Ref. PC83)
