ALFRED (ALF) HOUGHTON On 28th April 2021, peacefully at home. Alf aged 88 years. Much loved dad of David, Julie, Tony and the late Steven, Mark and Carl, dear father-in-law of Wendy, Lynn and Michael also a dearly loved grandad, great grandad and a good friend to many. Funeral service at Pleasington Crematorium on Tuesday, 18th May at 12.15 p.m. Due to the current situation attendance is strictly by invitation only. If you wish to pay your respects to Alf, the cortege will be at Bold Venture Park main gates at 11.50 am. Family flowers only please, but if desired donations may be sent for either NSPCC or Cancer Research UK. c/o Ainsworth's Funeral Service, Church Bank Street, Darwen. BB3 3HA. Tel 01254 873290

God bless Alf Houghton, just another message remembering the legend AH. I had just started in the building trade and Alf being a quality roofer was doing this roof up, he was also doing this gable end that needed pointing for the client. Alf offered me the job, he said go on son put your price in. That’s the kind of man he was. Rest easy Alf you deserve it.

Oh no not Alf Houghton just found out, living legend was Alf a man of his word. Condolences to Julie, Dave, and family not forgetting the late Mark, Carl & Ste. Another legend gone.
