GEORGE WHITTAKER Of New Lane, Oswaldtwistle passed away peacefully in Moorhead Care Home, Accrington on Tuesday 21st July 2020, aged 90. He was the dearly loved husband of Irene, a much loved father to Susan, Ian and Philip, father in law to John, Debbie and Lyndsey, and a devoted grandad to Jason, Matthew, Andrew, Lauren, Sophie, Ben, Ella and Josh. A brother to Mary and the late May. After leaving school he served an apprenticeship at E J Riley as a cabinet maker and spent most of his working life at Howard and Bullough - Platts. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed walking and completing puzzles and was a keen Blackburn Rovers fan. The funeral will be held on Friday 31st July 2020, 12:20 at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only please and donations to Cancer Research or the British Heart Foundation.
