HERBERT WHALLEY (BERT) 1st July 1929 28th December 2019 aged 90 years. Bert, peacefully passed away on Saturday 28th December 2019, at Springhill Care Home, Accrington, with his loving family at his side. He was the dearly loved husband of Pat, a devoted and much loved Daddy of Caroline and Rachel, a dear father-in-law to David and Peter, a very special and loving Grandpa of Caroline, Sophie, Max, Polly and Great Grandpa Bert of Poppy. Bert will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends. A Service will be held at Blackburn Cathedral on Monday 13th January 2020 at 1.30pm prior to a private committal. The service is a celebration of Bert's life and therefore the family would request that the dress code for the occasion reflects this. Reposing in the Chapel of Rest, Broomfield Place, Witton. Family flowers only please. If desired, donations may be made in memory of Bert to - The British Heart Foundation c/o The Alty Funeral Service.
