Lindsay Lohan is on the mend after her hospital stay
Lindsay Lohan has said she is "alright" after being rushed to hospital suffering from respiratory problems.
The troubled actress was taken to a hospital in New York on Sunday, and was apparently treated for a lung infection.
She told the New York Post's Page Six: "I got sick again, but I am alright."
Li-Lo's mum Dina Lohan told E! News that her daughter is now home and "getting better".
The 26-year-old, who is asthmatic, reportedly said a few days ago that she had been suffering from pneumonia.
She was quoted as saying: "I have been really sick with pneumonia but I have been working. I have been shooting Scary Movie with Charlie Sheen. He was really great to work with and gave me some good advice about surviving in this business."
Earlier this month Lindsay was arrested in New York on charges that she clipped a pedestrian with her car and did not stop. The Mean Girls actress was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and causing injury and is due to appear in court on October 23.
Her publicist has said he is confident the claims being made against the star would be proved untrue.
