Video of Lohan-pedestrian encounter

Lindsay Lohan's publicist says the injury claims are false Lindsay Lohan's publicist says the injury claims are false

Footage of an encounter between Lindsay Lohan and a pedestrian who claims she clipped him while driving outside a New York nightclub and then drove away has been released.

The grainy black-and-white surveillance camera footage was released by the New York Police Department.

It is blurred to protect the identities of witnesses standing near Lindsay's Porsche outside the nightclub at the Dream Hotel in Manhattan.

The footage shows the Mean Girls actress's car turn towards the crowd, but the blurriness obscures what restaurant worker Jose Rodriguez says was the car hitting him.

The car drives off as Mr Rodriguez chases it. Police say Mr Rodriguez suffered a knee injury.

Lindsay, 26, was later arrested on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and causing injury. She was given a ticket and was scheduled to appear in court on October 23.

Her publicist Steve Honig said he was confident the claims being made against the troubled star would be proved untrue.
