Jennifer Lopez producing TV pilot
Jennifer Lopez is stepping behind the scenes for her next TV job.
ABC Family says it has green-lit a series pilot from the star's production company about a lesbian couple and their diverse family.
The comedy-drama pilot, titled The Fosters, is about two women raising a "21st century" multi-ethnic mix of foster and biological kids.
Actress and singer J-Lo, who recently stepped down as a judge on American Idol after two seasons, will be an executive producer for the hour-long project.
Casting details have not been announced.
J-Lo's company, Nuyorican, is in development on other TV series, including Taming Ben Taylor, a romantic comedy featuring the star, and Sweet Little 15, a Mexican girl's coming-of-age story.
Jen is also developing films through her company.
