Robert Pattinson has not cancelled a press appearance in the wake of his girlfriend Kristen Stewart's cheating scandal, his representative has insisted.

The British star was said to have called off a promotional appearance for new film Cosmopolis after it emerged that his Twilight co-star and real-life love Kristen hooked up with married Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

But R-Patz' spokesperson told E! Online: "Cosmopolis is a film that Robert is very proud of and looks forward to supporting. No confirmed engagements have been cancelled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate."

It seems the studio had tentatively scheduled a press junket for the weekend of August 10, but the plans have now been called off.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Rupert has been snapped out in public for the first time since the scandal, with his wedding ring firmly in place.

The 41-year-old, who has two children with his wife Liberty Ross, released a statement shortly after pictures of him with 22-year-old Kristen were unveiled, saying he was "utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family" but his wife has not commented.

Things are still thought to be shaky for R-Patz and Kristen, following reports that the actor has moved out of the home they shared in LA and that they are battling over who gets to keep their beloved dog, Bear.

RadarOnline.com reports that the actress, who also released a statement apologising for her actions and calling the fling a "momentary indiscretion", is keeping the couple's cat, but that Robert wants the dog, who they adopted from a shelter together.

A source said: "Rob was so hurt by Kristen's actions he decided that he wants the dog to help him get over what happened. After all, a dog is a man's best friend and Bear is such a good companion."
