Kelly Rowland has revealed that her fiance Tim Witherspoon proposed to her via Skype.

The former Destiny's Child singer told Queen Latifah that he popped the question when she was in Bulgaria, as she flashed her diamond sparkler on The Queen Latifah Show, reported E! News.

"He asked me first on Skype, and I was like, 'We're so far away from each other'," the 32-year-old recalled.

"It was so late - I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, 'I got my best friend to ride through life with.' He really is my best friend."

Kelly - who is one of the judges of X Factor USA alongside Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato and Paulina Rubio - admitted that the couple had been engaged for a few years but decided to keep it a secret.

She said: "He put a ring on it. It's been a while. We've kept it very, very low - for years, to be completely honest."
