Louis Smith MBE is set to reveal the truth about living with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) for the third series of My Secret Past.

The Olympic medal-winning gymnast and Strictly Come Dancing champion, who was diagnosed with ADHD when he was six years old, will go on a personal journey to find out more about his condition in the upcoming documentary.

He will also reveal how the discipline of gymnastics and the target of Olympic glory helped him to control the disorder, and will meet fellow sufferers and find out if the ADHD behaviours that he's suppressed for so long will come back to haunt him.

Kerry Katona and Jennifer Ellison are the other celebrity guests who will provide first-hand accounts of their issues. The Atomic Kitten singer faces up to her mental health issues while Jennifer talks about post-natal depression, which she suffered from after the birth of her first son Bobby.

Channel 5's Jason Wells said: "In My Secret Past, celebrities open up and reveal deeply personal insights into the issues they've faced in their lives - from mental health problems to ADHD. Their efforts to confront head on these tough subjects that have affected not only them but also many other people in the UK, along with a desire to help other suffers make for a moving and inspiring programme."

Producer Paul Durgan added: "My Secret Past reveals celebrities in the raw. As they journey back into their past, we witness both their shock/some shocking revelations and the strength they have found to cope with the issue that's impacted on their life."

The new series of My Secret Past will air on Channel 5 in 2014.
