Emma Watson has been named the MTV Trailblazer of 2013.
The Harry Potter star was honoured for her performances as bookish Hermione Granger in the wizarding films as well as her critically acclaimed role in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.
The 22-year-old actress - who has been immortalised in wax by Madame Tussauds in London - will receive her gong at the MTV Movie Awards on April 14 in Culver City, California.
She is also up for three nominations for The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.
Stephen Friedman, president of MTV, said: "Emma Watson endeared herself to fans as one of the most beloved and iconic characters of her generation and did so again this past year as she seamlessly transformed into the role of Sam from yet another modern day classic in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.
"She's been a constant presence in the lives of our audience for more than a decade and is continuing to challenge her craft with upcoming roles as radically diverse as her enormous talent."
Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson will host the ceremony with MTV's Comedic Genius Will Ferrell.
Quentin Tarantino's spaghetti Western Django Unchained and comedy Ted lead the nominations with seven each, including movie of the year, best on-screen duo, best fight and best kiss.
They are followed by Silver Linings Playbook with six and Christopher Nolan's final Batman story, The Dark Knight Rises, with five nominations.
