A Grammy gatecrasher who tried to steal Adele's moment of glory spent a night in jail for breaching security.
Ukrainian TV journalist and celebrity prankster Vitalii Sediuk, 24, told The Hollywood Reporter how he blagged his way into the ceremony without a ticket and then decided to seize the moment and walk on stage, attempting to accept the Best Pop Solo Performance for himself.
Seduik was shooed off stage by an angry Jennifer Lopez and then arrested and charged with trespassing, pending a March court date.
He confessed: "My channel didn't get credentialed, so I went with friends who had tickets. They didn't check how many we had, so I was let in. First I went to the media line and interviewed quite a few celebrities.
"Then I just followed one girl in a green dress through the gates. They checked my pockets but never asked to see a ticket. Only once I was inside the building did I realise, 'Oh my gosh, it's Katy Perry!'"
Seduik found an empty seat in the second row, surrounded by stars such as Justin Timberlake, and Beyonce and revealed, "I think it belonged to Adam Levine, because he was sitting on the ground."
He claimed: "The idea to go on the stage came up at the last second. To be honest, Adele is my favourite singer. So when I heard her name, I came up with this idea to go up on the stage and pretended this was an award for me, and then I said, 'Thank you, Adele. You're my inspiration.'"
Meanwhile, Adele has denied that she had a go at Chris Brown at the awards.
The Skyfall songstress was reported to have had words with Turn Up The Music singer Chris after he snubbed Frank Ocean by refusing to join the rest of the audience in a standing ovation.
But Adele tweeted her followers to say that the pair were actually singing each other's praises in a photograph which was said to show her having a go at the RnB singer."Chris Brown and I were complimenting each other in that photo actually!" she wrote.
