Zach Galifianakis reprises his role as Alan in the next Hangover film
Zach Galifianakis has had to wear a fake beer belly for his role in The Hangover Part III.
The 43-year-old funnyman, who recently shed a few pounds, reprises his role as crazy friend Alan alongside Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong in the final sequel to Todd Phillips hit comedy.
But Splash news has published pictures of Zach chatting to a crew member between takes while filming a night shoot in Las Vegas at the weekend, and Zach lifted up his t-shirt to show off his prosthetic belly.
Zach revealed on Live With Kelly last July that he has stopped drinking and added that the weight just disappeared since he gave up the beers.
The first two Hangover films centred around a stag party and a wedding, and the third one will follow the friends on a road trip.
Zach may have donned the fake belly for a flashback scene as he was pictured wearing the exact same grey T-shirt he wore in Hangover 1.
Earlier this month, the cast were spotting filming a funeral scene in Arizona which doubled for Tijuana, Mexico.
The Hangover III is due for release in May next year.
