Long-serving Wigan Warriors rugby league chairman Maurice Lindsay is to stand down at the end of the season.
The 66-year-old, who first joined the board in 1979 and was at the helm for many of the club's glory years, is currently in his second spell as chairman.
His decision comes a week after the club were deducted four engage Super League points for breaching the competition's salary cap for a second successive year.
