LEIGH Centurions and Salford Red Devils have devised a ticket agreement.

They have entered an innovative and reciprocal ticket incentive scheme for their respective season ticket holders for the 2017 season.

Under the terms of the scheme Leigh Centurions season ticket holders can buy tickets for Salford's home games in the 2017 Betfred Super League at half price with the same applying to Salford Red Devils' season ticket holders for Leigh home games.

Tickets may also only be bought at the respective club's ticket office less than two hours before kick-off on the day of the game and the season ticket must be presented for inspection at the ticket office and then on entry at the turnstile alongside the match ticket.

The only provisos are that the half-price scheme does not apply for games between Leigh and Salford.

Salford Red Devils counterpart Marwan Koukash devised the plan and when he approached Derek Beaumont and the Leigh Centurions board of directors they gave it full support.

The two owners have issued a joint statement: "This is another enterprising and valuable loyalty offer for our season ticket holders and enhances the Super League competition.

"This scheme will enable our fans to watch another Super League game nearby on the occasions when we have no game.

"While either Leigh Centurions or Salford Red Devils are the No1 choice for our loyal fans, many fans are first and foremost Rugby League supporters and this is a great incentive to go and watch other games in a great competition that again promises fantastic entertainment in 2017.

"There is a healthy but friendly rivalry between our respective clubs and we hope as many Salford Red Devils fans as possible can take up this offer and enjoy watching games at LSV just as we are sure Leigh Centurions fans will look forward to their visits to the AJ Bell Stadium."

More details on the joint initiative will be released in due course.
