LEIGH Centurions face a trip to 2012 Challenge Cup winners Warrington in the quarter-finals of the competition after producing a stirring comeback to knock out Super League side Wakfield Trinity Wildcats in the sixth round.

Paul Rowley’s side extended their winning run to 25 matches after coming back from 22-0 down to win 36-30.

They claimed their second Super League scalp of the campaign after beating Salford Red Devils in the previous round.

And the Centurions’ coach is relishing the chance to test his record-breaking side at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

“We’ve got to do it tough,” Rowley said.

“We’ve done London Broncos and we’ve beaten Salford and Wakefield and now they’re thinking they’re not jumping just high enough yet so we’ll make them jump higher and send them to Warrington.

“At least it’s less petrol money for the fans but it’s a really tough challenge. Warrington are a good side with a wonderful coach.

“It will be interesting to see what the bookies give us that week.

“We’ll make it interesting as well. We’ll have a go.”

The tie promises a fascinating side show with veteran Mick Higham rumoured to be on his way from Warrington to Leigh.

Warrington last week rejected a bid for the former Wigan and St Helens hooker but left him out of the side that won at Dewsbury on Friday night.

Quarter-final draw: Hull KR v Catalans Dragons or Featherstone, Warrington v Leigh, Hull v Leeds, St Helens v Widnes.
