11:31am Thursday 13th October 2011

Lancashire's county championship winners will be officially presented with their medals and trophy at Buckingham Palace today.

The Red Rose cricketers will meet the Duke of Edinburgh, who is patron of the Lord's Taverners club.

Prince Philip hosts the county champions each year, and will present the trophy and the players' medals.

Lancashire won their first County Championship title in 77 long years with a victory over Somerset on the last day of the season last month.
