County cricket stars on Blackburn brewery tour

Lancashire Cricket stars toured Blackburn’s Thwaites brewery yesterday as a new season beckons.

Stars, including Burnley-born Ashes hero James Anderson, were shown how the firm’s legendary pints are made.

The visit was organised to mark Thwaites’ tie-up with Lancashire County Cricket Club, now in its 14th year.

This season, Lancashire stars will don the logo of Thwaites’ Wainwright ale on the front of their shirts.

Barry Kilby and Brendan Flood were not there. Why ? Its obvious : they couldnt organise a p***s up in a Brewery esp one called Star - they dont know the meaning of that word judging by their bplayer acquisition policy.
