LANCASHIRE'S James Anderson became the first Englishman to reach 400 Test wickets on day one of the second Investec Test against New Zealand at Headingley.
The seamer began the day needing just one scalp to join an exclusive club containing only 11 other bowlers and he reached the landmark in his second over this afternoon.

With his eighth ball, and with rain closing in, Anderson had Kiwi opener Martin Guptill caught by Ian Bell at second slip.
It proved to be the final ball before another rain delay, with the umpires leading the players off immediately after Anderson wheeled away in celebration.
Anderson then claimed wicket number 401 two deliveries after the delay for rain, when Kane Williamson, who made a century at Lord's, edged behind.
He became England's leading Test wicket-taker of all time during the tour of the West Indies last month after surpassing Sir Ian Botham's previous record haul of 383 scalps.
