TWO overseas players have been offered contracts to join Manchester Phoenix for the forthcoming season.
Although Tony Hand says he's in no hurry to make the allotted four import signings that are allowed in the English Premier League, he has agreed a suitable time scale for the duo to make their choice.
“I believe that the pool of available talent will continue to drip through to us as the summer months unfold,” he said. “As the longer things go, players that don't take the early offers may well become a little nervous of not getting a job and we may be in a position to land a key player or two.
“And all those teams who have moved early in the close season may regret moving too soon - we'll see.”
Already, Hand has signed the majority of his English players for a campaign that Phoenix look to be leading contenders to win.
His side will take on Romford, Bracknell, Basingstoke, Guildford, Milton Keynes, champions Peterborough, Sheffield, Slough and Swindon in a ten team league.
Telford may well join but their financial future is yet to be secured.
