MOBILE urinals piloted in Stretford on Manchester United match days will make a comeback this season following positive feedback.
The Gorse Hill Partnership, which includes the council and Manchester United, introduced the urinals following reports of football supporters urinating in passageways, gardens and residential areas.
Executive councillor Matthew Colledge said: “We have listened to the feedback from people, who said the urinals made a real difference to behaviour on match days, and will be bringing them back during matches throughout the coming football season.
“There will be a public meeting towards the end of September to discuss the scheme, which all residents will be invited to.”
The urinals will be sited at Railway Road, Chorley Street and Brian Statham Way. The units placed on Railway Road will be placed nearer to the gable wall of 24 Sir Matt Busby Way and a privacy screen will be provided to benefit nearby residents.
