The Bolton Wanderers’ Supporters Association has delivered its reaction to Owen Coyle's sacking.
Dave Blackburn, from Bolton Wanderers’ Supporters Association, said: “It is not a shock that this has happened. I am surprised it has taken so long as it seems that some fans have been turning their backs.
“We couldn’t have gone on as we were. We need to get promoted back to the Premier League as the money goes up big style and we need to be in there.
“Owen in a nice bloke but unfortunately it is all about football results and we have not been able to do what was needed. We are being outplayed and we need someone with ideas.
“He is a proud man and it is unfortunate that he had to be pushed.
“I know Mick McCarthy’s name has been pushed about but I don’t know who it would be next. With Owen Coyle, I think we wanted him and he is a good manager but no one sticks out like he did.”
