We need a steady competant young manager with ambition and a knowlege about the area and club ,step forward Kieth Hill Barnsley played some super football at Ewood and a few days later hammered Birmingham in their own back yard ,Shearers a no for me.

As I said in a previous post Kean has gone and yet again under a cloud with no clear cut decision from the owners.
If the Venkys dont use this moment in time to assess the situation properly and put the right Management Team in place then Keans resignation will be wasted. The whole structure from Shaw, Agnew, Black and Hendry etc (Kean cohorts) needs to be assessed and the right decisions made about their futures. One thing for certain is that the Venkys should be takling the lead and demonstrating true Business Leadership in every sense of the word with the hope that they have been taught a lesson in relationship to treating the fans in a proper manner after all they are the back bone to every Footballing Club and as they have seen in recent weeks treat them with contempt and they will walk away in their thousands some never returning to the club at all.

Simon Grayson, Ole Gunnar, Di canio, or Nigel Clough for me. Any one of them would be 10 times better than what went previously. we have to be realistic and an unproven manager is not the way to go. So that rules out Shearer and sherwood. Mcarthy, i'm not convinced and redknapp is a no go. Benitez is pie in the sky, he left liverpool because of interfering owners. So my choices although not spectacular, would be very steady appointments and managers on the up.

Personally I would go for Karl Robinson however I will be happy with ANY manager as long as they are not just another Jerome Anderson stooge (ie Black or Hendry - they are bought and paid for by JA and it would be simply a case of swapping one Scottish yes man for another).

Come on Venkys - lets see ANYONE who is their own man, not just a mouth-piece for someone else who's hiding in the shaddows.

Mick McC, Tim Sherwood, Karl Robinson etc etc - we as Rovers fans must get behind any of them and get back down to Ewood to create a hostile atmosphere for the opposition, not for our own dugout !

I would be worried that any manager worth his salt woud be unwilling to work for these clowns. Kean has effectively made it it harder to find a decent new manager by stating that his reason for resigning is interference in team affairs. Is Danny Murphy being doubtful for today's game a coincidence?

Even the parting of the ways is shrouded in mystery. One minute Mr Kean is telling everyone that discussions with the owners and others had been very positive and it had been a good week . Several hours later he resigns saying he has been forced to resign with Mrs D saying she is dissapointed he has resigned. No official statement from the club as yet. I still fear for the future but we will have a better idea when we know who they have selected as a new manager. It woudn't shock me if he turned up again and had been re-enstated with what has gone on with the club over the last 18 months.

He's gone & I'm glad but this is just the begining of the begining. It's not a good sign that Madam D did not sack him & is disappointed that he's resigned. I believe our salvation now lies with Shebby, whatever you think of hom. He's the only one now with any semblence of football knowledge who can have any influence at all on the ignorant matriach. I believe he is with us and will be a reader of these pages. He doesn't have an awful lot else to do anyway. We have got to make it clear to him that the moment requires an experienced and proven manager. Shearer, Sherwood etc will not do. We've had an over paid apprentice and we can risk another at this crucial time. The big problem now is who will come to work for the Venkys? There will be no shortage of second rate and rookie candidates but what must not happen is the kneejerk selection of a second best candidate if we cannot attract a quality manageer in the immediate term. I don't honestly know who would be an ideal manager. Lots of available candidates can & have been suggested but they won't come and work in this pantomine. Keep trying Shebby and forget about Sherwood.

Hendry hope not , shouldn`t he be doing the honourable thing and resigning ,he came in as defensive coach under Kean , he is and always was Keans boy resign HENDRY ,we need to get of all of KEANS TEAM out.

Keith Hill for me. Wonderful job at Rochdale and has turned Barnsley round. However, this strong willed, no nonsense guy would hardly tolerate the current management structure. No rookies PLEASE.

Eric Black and Colin Hendry should not be contenders because neither have been a manager at championship level or above ever. We need a real manager with experience to take the job. We have had two years of being managed by the kitman, its time we had a professional in charge.

'Transparency' is the word, but I doubt we will get it. I asked Andy Cryer earlier this year to investigate via Companies House, etc. who actually are the shareholders of the Club / Company; why has the LET not done some investigative reporting? Why can't Andy Cryer ask these questions - perhaps he knows he wont get an answer? The other word is 'communication' - communicating with the fans, sponsors, etc. (and not just a PR forum / stunt that Shebby did at King George's Hall). Bring back some proper football people to our club - but doubt if John Williams will return. We need a proper, strong and experienced footballing Manager who is allowed to run things, bringing in his own team of professional coaches, etc. The joke that is BRFC (India) Ltd is entering the second act of a farce; time to pull it off the stage, after all the reviews are awful! PS: Come on Andy Cryer and the LET, time to get tough - you've nothing to lose and you might even get the Rovers fans buying the paper again.

A half decent manager who needs a job to keep a roof over his head and food on the table and is out of job perhaps. Basically anyone who is out of job that needs to get back into the game, or someone who is currently paid peanuts at a lesser championship club could be tempted.

I still fear for the future but we will have a better idea when we know who they have selected as a new manager. It woudn't shock me if he turned up again and had been re-enstated with what has gone on with the club over the last 18 months.

The other word is 'communication' - communicating with the fans, sponsors, etc. (and not just a PR forum / stunt that Shebby did at King George's Hall). Bring back some proper football people to our club - but doubt if John Williams will return. We need a proper, strong and experienced footballing Manager who is allowed to run things, bringing in his own team of professional coaches, etc. The joke that is BRFC (India) Ltd is entering the second act of a farce; time to pull it off the stage, after all the reviews are awful! What is Brag and Brists take on Current events? Maybe a statemnet? One of the more frightening things about the Venky's management is their ability to act when needed. It is clearly non existent. They should have sacked Kean earlier for obvious reasons but at least he has gone now. The situation reported last weekend was that Kean was going to be sacked and if this was true how come we don't have a contender to take over. Surely you have a plan B. Most football teams or companies would have done so, so that there was little or no disruption to the team. This is where the Venkys are lacking again, they don't appear to have a plan B,C or D. They haven't as far as I am aware issued a full statement explaining what has gone on behind the scenes. So all you fans it would be wise to reign in your optimism and be prepared for what these prats running our club are going to do next.

Think we'd all like to replace venkys too but that isn't going to happen. Potential new buyers aren't exactly falling over themselves to buy venkys out so we are stuck with them. Also no chance of John Williams coming back, he's hardly gonna give up what he's got at city. I'd be worried about shabby too. Yes he was anti-kean but that doesn't make him our ally. We're still in a mess but at least the odious one has gone and for that I'm glad

Venkys London is/was the "shell company" for the takeover, so it would be the make up of that which would be presumably the one to be investigated; also,would a nominee share holder not be officially recorded as such?

You just can't say how the whole farce is being run without having the clout to investigate it.

It may all come out in the wash; it just seems unlikely, given the relatively small amounts involved, that an established company would use such a public company as a football club to carry out anything, how shall we say, dodgy.

My fear is that 1) the decision will be made by the group that sacked Allardyce on what appeared to be a whim and 2) the group that then took almost two years to make their next big decision and didn't make it -if he hadn't walked would they have ever made it? I am worried.

Any ideas just how this process will work ?
Clearly Mrs D will make the decision but who has the experience to actually interview/select the candidates ?

Steve Kean dramatically resigned at 5.30 pm on Friday.
But with all things Kean it was not so simple as it seems.
Whilst all sports channels both TV and radio had pundits, personality’s and former players all queuing up to express their sympathy for Kean and the treatment he has had to endure these past weeks, the true picture is much different.
In a meeting earlier on Friday with chief executive Derek Shaw and Director Paul Agnew, Kean had expressed his determination to carry on regardless. Despite the damage his continued presence was doing to the club and more important the attendances, Kean had every intention of riding out the storm with the full backing of Shaw and Agnew, and had hoped to oust his arch enemy Shebby Singh.
Kean knew that Singh himself was getting frustrated and disillusioned in his efforts to remove Kean and bring in a new manager. With the Rao family continually stalling and being indecisive (so what’s new) Singh was considering his position.
However Kean’s position changed in mid-afternoon after allegedly taking a phone call from his agent Jerome (the man who ruined Blackburn Rovers) Anderson and his legal team.
Kean was advised to resign, saying his position was “untenable” and poignantly added that he could not say any more “for legal reasons”.
Those reasons, I can reveal, are that Kean is to sue the Venky Company and the Rao family for constructive dismissal and squeeze every penny that he can from them.
Mrs Anuradha Desai is about to see Kean in his true colours. She is going to learn about Kean what we all know, and that is that Kean is a very devious man.
Mrs Desai has issued a statement saying “she is disappointed with Kean’s action”. She is going to get a lot more disappointed as Kean plans to plunder the family fortune. And he will succeed.
The evidence of this last week is stacked in favour of Kean as the situation could not have been more badly handled by the Venky’s.
The solution was quite simple but Mrs Desai refused to grasp it. She should have sacked Kean and pay up his contract. Venky’s had every justification to do so, his record is appalling, the worst Blackburn manager ever and lost half the fans (Venky’s customers) from the club.
No arguments, no legal action for wrongful dismissal, a straight forward uncomplicated procedure. Kean would not have had a case or reason to complain.
But no, Venky’s huffed and puffed particularly Mrs Desai and played into Kean and Anderson’s hands. It will cost her a fortune, serves her right, but it will impact on Rovers financial stability. I have warned Mrs Desai on several occasions that Kean would ‘bite the hand that fed him’, but she has ignored all advice from everyone.
In one National newspaper today Kean talks of being “stabbed in the back”. That’s rich coming from Kean, if he wants to talk about being stabbed in the back, give Sam Allardyce a call and ask him what it’s like.
Mrs Anuradha Desai has ‘egg on her face’ big time. She has given Kean wealth beyond his wildest dreams. Kean, a ‘jobbing coach’, hit the jackpot at the Rovers. Never could he have envisaged earning the salary he has been paid as an imposter at the Rovers, a reported £1.3 million per annum.
Now he is going to ‘bite the hand that fed him’.

'Transparency' is the word, but I doubt we will get it. I asked Andy Cryer earlier this year to investigate via Companies House, etc. who actually are the shareholders of the Club / Company; why has the LET not done some investigative reporting? Why can't Andy Cryer ask these questions - perhaps he knows he wont get an answer? The other word is 'communication' - communicating with the fans, sponsors, etc. (and not just a PR forum / stunt that Shebby did at King George's Hall). Bring back some proper football people to our club - but doubt if John Williams will return. BRFC have many times in their past appointed coaches as managers and this has always failed.

I can never understand what Black is trying to say in his post match analysis of the games,he seems to talk in riddles.On todays game why wasn't either Gomes or Rochina brought on for the last 15 mins,when we need to score, instead of shoving Dann upfront.

I think the best man for the job right now is Eric Black. His enterprising brand of football may not have reaped immediate dividends but in time it will. Surely.

Of course, Black was Kean's understudy and he is no Steve Kean, as the lack of goals demonstrate. But he is very good at standing around with Colin Hendry - a.k.a "THE ORC" who sulkily chews on his gum offering nothing except aggression towards elderly neighbours when they ask for a portion of their life savings back.

However, two hard drinking Scottish deadbeats are more than adequate for a club of your stature. You used to manage with just one! While Kean left you and is soon to sue I understand (well it was an impossible situation what with interference from all sides - as his lawyers will no doubt attest - and I of course will believe Steve Kean's lawyers), you will just have to make do with his self appointed replacement - Mr Black.

I'd like to see a bit more of Shebby Kean around the dug out. Him and Hendry could have fruitful discussions about the midfield tactics, and these could be passed on to Black, who would benefit greatly from Shebby and Colin's experience.
