De Laet hopes to Irk Ewood Park crowd

LEICESTER City defender Richie De Laet believes the Foxes can take advantage of a lack of confidence around Ewood Park as they bid to turn the home crowd against Blackburn Rovers . Ahead of this afternoon’s clash, De Laet is the first to admit Rovers have ‘Premier League’ quality but believes the lack of a winning mentality can be used against them.

Leicester suffered their first defeat of the season against newly promoted Charlton in midweek but De Laet believes today’s trip to Ewood will be a different proposition.

“It will be different because Charlton have a winning mentality from last season,” said De Laet.

“They won League One by a lot of points. They had a good draw at Birmingham and they are on a high.

“It is hard to play against a team on a high because they have confidence. “Whereas on Saturday we play Blackburn who have just come down. While they still have the quality of the Premier League and they will be a real challenge, they haven’t had that winning mentality at the moment. We have to make use of that. “I think if we can go there and play like we can and finish our chances, then the crowd will go against them like they did last season and that can be a help for us.”

We don't need any outsiders to irk us. Keannochio and Co are doing a great job by themselves!
