Danny Murphy has medical as Blackburn Rovers close in

MEDICAL Danny Murphy
Former England international Danny Murphy was last night closing in on sealing a move to Blackburn Rovers.
The 35-year-old midfielder was understood to be having a medical last night with Rovers hopeful a deal could be wrapped up imminently.
The free transfer capture of Murphy would be a big coup for the Championship new boys as they look to earn an instant Premier League return.
Murphy did attract interest from Premier League Queens Park Rangers, while Fulham were also attempting to convince the former Liverpool man to stay at Craven Cottage for another season.
But the offer of a two-year deal and lucrative pay packet may have convinced Murphy that Ewood Park is the right place for him.
Murphy’s signature would give Rovers a boost in their bid to persuade other players there is a brighter future at the troubled East Lancashire outfit.
Newcastle striker Leon Best is understood to be mulling over a £2m move to Rovers after being told he had no future at St James Park.
Moves for Murphy and Bet are the clearest sign that Anuradha Desai is giving under-fire boss Steve Kean a decent budget to strengthen his squad.
Rovers are also looking to bring in a Premier League midfielder on loan to provide extra energy in the centre of the park.
Junior Hoilett and Yakubu are still expected to quit Ewood this summer, while Steven Nzonzi, Martin Olsson, Mauro Formica, Gael Givet Paul Robinson and Scott Dan will take some convincing to stay.
Murphy, who won nine full England caps, was born in Chester and started out as a trainee at Crewe Alexandra.
Many top flight clubs had their eye on Murphy before his eventual move to Liverpool.
Before he left, he helped Crewe get to the second flight of English football for the first time since the war as Crewe finished third in Division Two, before going on to defeat Brentford 1-0 at Wembley in the play-offs.
After seven years at Anfield Murphy moved to then-top flight Charlton Athletic before heading to Tottenham Hotspur and then across London to Craven Cottage in 2007.

If you want to get the fans back onside then you have to get rid of the bald headed pr1ck...Stevie Wonder (why I am still in this feckin' job)....
You may have heard Shebby that Harry Redknapp is out of a job....hire him (or someone of similar stature) and we (the fans) might start to take an interest....
Until then I suggest "you keep your feckin' head down".

Does this mean he'll play a dozen games and then be benched? It seems to be their modus operandi.

Sell all the best players, Sell Brockhall for housing development,
Once you have stripped the club of all its assets you can put it in for solvency, and sell the club. Then all the people in your little syndicate will have made a few million on your investment and we can end the nightmare that you have made supporting our club end.
That is all you here for so don't drag it on, and take us in to league one get it over with now.
Ever Rovers Fan Knows What your up to, and Keane is one of the syndicate leaders, Who saw what the clubs assets were while working under Big Sam. That is why he as not been sacked, anyone who gets a club relegated, and then says he is confident he will be in the job next year is higher up the food chain than is position in the club portrays.

Shabby, your early efforts have been strewn with self-inflicted wounds. So here is some advice for the "Global Adviser".
1. Don't adopt a silly, self-important job title. People in Blackburn are down to earth, unpretentious folks and they will only think you are a pompous tit of no substance.
2. Don't be dishonest and try to defend the indefensible as you did when changing your position of Kean's unfitness for football management.
3. When explaining yourself (as you did regarding Kean) don't talk to the (former) supporters as if they are as stupid as you are. They can see straight through you even if Andy Crier cannot.
4. Do try to do something about your oily, smug, appearance.
GLOBAL ADVICE FOR A GLOBAL ADVISER!

Now THAT I believe. I had a dream that I somehow bumped into Alan Shearer at the Euros and started telling him about my memory of Rovers winning the Premiership and begging him to consider coming back as manager to which he just laughed and said there was nothing to come back to. When I asked him what he thought of Kean.. I think I asked him about being dodgy... He laughed it off and offered me a smoke..funnily enough when I woke up and got to thinking about it, it doesn't make you wonder why no-one out there in any professional capacity ever seem to ask that question." why is Kean unsackable? Erm, if experienced 35 year-olds are the solution, why wasn't Salgado treated a bit better?
At least he wasn't asked to play out of position, in games we could have easily won but were baffling with their formation and player selection and lack of substitution, which ended in defeats with both players and manager boo-ed off the field.
Instead he got to sit on the sidelines and eat chicken whilst getting paid more in a week than we do in crummy jobs in a year...
Instead he
