Rovers Fans Forum welcome more support (From This Is Lancashire)

so, in summary we went all that way to india and the venkys nodded and smiled at us and then ignored us.

the outcome of the fans forum attempts to discuss the plight of rovers is the same as messrs wild and bettersby, jack straw, BwDC, finn and williams, Lancashire Telegraph, protesters, ordinary supporters.

lets be clear the venkys have no obligation to talk to anybody - when has nay chelsea supporter group discussed all matters stamford bridge with comrade abramovich, similarly cuddly ken at dirty leeds..... however, all the above are desperately concerned about the future of
their club and at the very least want genuine reassurances from the owners.

Unfortunately they may be well meaning but they are a bunch of naive fools to even consider that the Venky's are going to communicate constructively with them. The past is a very firm indicator of what Venky's are like. They bought the club to promote their brand and this is what they have achieved all be it in a way they didn't imagine!! They have no interest in the club and never will have. They will bail out at some point when their so called "honour and keeping face" amongst their own community allows .

If after speaking with them in pune and got the message that they would be happy to discuss with the fans, and are then completely ignored like all the rest that have tried to have dialogue with them,the message must surely be loud and clear, they have no interest in the fans,its sponsors,the local media and even politicians.As far as i am concearned the quicker they leave the better.Then the club and its loyal followers can start to build back the bridges that Venkys have obliterated.

I feel sorry for the Fans Forum previously they seemed to have influence with the club on issues like unreserved seating now they can only communicate with an ineffective group of administrators at Ewood who have no overall control of what is going on.

Does anyone at Ewood have the power to remove the manager? If not then naturally ticket sales, merchandise and inevitably revenue will decrease. The whole situation is illogical Venky's have removed so many people from positions and then not replaced them.

The answer of course is for new ownership, sadly it doesnt look forthcoming

We can keep saying until we're blue (and white) in the face that if you want some dialogue with someone you don't start off by calling the all the names under the sun - even if they do deserve it.
I said months ago that, while all true supporters may feel more angry than they've ever been, it's no good using vitriolic poison in the posts against Venkys, Kean or the man who shall remain nameless. What we need are articulate, well-reasoned arguments without the abuse, and then maybe - albeit a very small maybe - we might get somewhere.

The Venkys see everyone else as being below them, and themselves superior as owners, they therefore believe they owe us no explanation or two way communication. The fans forum was all a token gesture to make it look like they were listening to us, as they needed to appease the fans based on all of the protests and unrest.

Looking back on it, I am surprised they even did the fans forum in the first place...its goes completely against the policy of completely ignoring everyone associated with the club and screwing everything up blindly without any care or concern for the club!!

The Venkys do not realise that football is a public servce, a public service to the fans. If you do not have fans you do not have a football club. Therefore, the one thing you do not do is lie and screw over the fans because if you do that you lose money and you lose the club!!

Don't you think that 4 months from the venkeys meeting they may have at least responded to our very serious concerns about the total lack of management leadership from them. If they consider they have been damaged both professionally, personally and financially they could seek legal redress for damages.
Just who they would do that from is not clear because according to their ‘advisor’ Jerome Anderson neither he or his company have played any part in policy at the club, as he stated publically on Sky TV Sports News on 10th January 2012. Anderson denied any involvement in matters including the departures of manager Sam Allardyce, chairman John Williams, and chief executive Tom Finn. He also denied any involvement in the appointment of the worst manager in Blackburn’s history, Steve Kean or the recruitment of any players including his son Myles, on a Premiership contract. So that’s alright then! So who do Venky’s sue?
On their own admission the Rao family stated they had no knowledge of running a premiership football club and were appointing advisors to do so. According to press reports those advisors were allegedly SEM Kentaro Sports Agency, headed by Jerome Anderson and including his associate director / advisor Charlie Nicholas. However in the face of Anderson’s denials just who has been advising the Venky’s?
If Blackburn are relegated from the Premiership, which is looking more than likely, the Venky group could claim damages in excess of seventy million pounds in lost revenue and probably more besides.
Could it be that the reason Venky’s have failed to invest in new players of any stature and kept Steve Kean in place, when managers all around him are being fired left right and centre, Is that Venky’s embrace relegation so they can seek legal redress and possibly even place the club into administration.

With the lack of transparency coming out of Ewood Park and India, theories as to the demise of Blackburn Rovers are bound to happen.
Finally if Venky’s do take legal action for damaging and expensive advice could Blackburn Borough Council and Blackburn Chamber Of Trade not do likewise against Venky’s for the loss of the status of a Premiership Town Club and the damage to business and industry in the area.

I really do not know what 99.9% of Rovers supporters have done to warrant being ignored by the club's owners. I agree that some of the postings on this site are unacceptable but this does not justify a policy of silence. This football club is for many the only thing that is left in Blackburn and for that reason it is not unreasonable to ask the Venkys to contact at least Jack Straw, who after all is the town's Member of Parliament and a Blackburn Rovers supporter and brief him as to what their intentions are and plans for the future of the club. In my opinion this is not asking a lot.

BOYCOTT the games, there are less and less fans going each week, this is the only thing that will bring these silent owners to there knees.

This is the only major issue they are worried about and is being spoken about at a high level on a weekly basis, if you dont believe me just watch soon, a bundle of cheap tickets are on there way out again to get fans back.

BOYCOTT the games, short term pain for us fans but long term game to get this lot out.

When will people realize that Venky`s are not the owners but just figureheads used for dirty dealings by certain agents.
Can anybody tell me why Kean has stopped going over to India? My answer is simple, its a ballache. Was easy at first and Kean was keen to do it. Now Venky`s have been told to keep quiet because quite frankly their utter tosh was going to get everyone rumbled.
But rest assured one day when a few get greedy and the bickering starts, tongues will start to slip when under the influence and next day it will be all over the national press.

Agree with you,seems like the CHOSEN FEW forum have realized that the majority of fans have actually moved on in a different direction to them and have had there eyes wide open in whats been going on for twelve months.Rather than be passive towards venkys childish attitude more fans are becoming very active with other fans forums and protest meetings, the fans forum say they want to improve relations with the owners? when did we have any to improve it,You can talk till the cows come home with those running things down at ewood local level but they are not going to change anything its venkys themselves who ultimately take any decisions within the club,it is venkys who should start to communicate with the fans,only them who know the future for the club and them who need to answer the fans most important questions, not the caretakers.Seems to me the forum is going to be used as a tool for any of venkys disinformation and to confuse and maybe split fans opinions on what they are doing with the club. I seem to recall it was only about 3 weeks ago you had a post deleted because of its inference to race and slavery. You then took umbrage claiming it was a joke

I cannot recall the post but my "umbrage" will probably have been at the witless fan who complained. Was it a post about Samba and how we stopped forcing black men to work against their will some years ago?
