Contrary to reports in the national media yesterday, AZ Alkmaar prospect Rasmus Elm is not among those on Blackburn Rovers' wish-list.
It was speculated that Sam Allardyce had targeted the £4m-rated Swedish international, who has struggled to settle in the Netherlands this year, but those rumours are wide of the mark.
But Rovers are inviting former Monaco and Bordeaux midfielder Camel Meriem back to East Lancashire for a second trial.
The free agent, who has four French caps to his name, was on trial last month at Blackburn and made an impression on Allardyce.
However, the 30-year-old playmaker’s stint was cut short after picking up a knee injury.
