PAUL Ince insists Blackburn Rovers can only get better after he tasted a winning start to his Premier League managerial career.

Rovers turned in an impressive display at Goodison Park as they came from behind to beat Everton 3-2.

And with next Saturday’s home fixture against top-flight new-boys Hull just around the corner, Ince is already focusing on another three points.

“We have won at Everton and not many teams do that apart from the top four. It was a great achievement,” said the Rovers boss.

“The whole performance was fantastic, to come from behind twice and win was outstanding.

"I would have settled for a point at one stage.

“It’s the first game. It is 90 minutes - we can improve and get better.

“I don't want to put a downer on things, but we will get better.

"Let’s just enjoy the result and then we can focus on Hull City.”

Ince hailed his team after a terrific all-round performance against David Moyes’ men.

But he reserved special praise for David Dunn, who turned in a exceptional display in midfield and sent Rovers on their way with an exquisite 25-yard-goal.

Dunn was given licence to roam forward with Aaron Mokoena sitting deep, and Ince believes the former England international is relishing that role.

Ince said: "I thought Dunny was exceptional, as was Aaron to be fair. They both did ever so well.

"Last year, Sparky probably played him in a different role, a bit more defensive, but Dunny wants to go forward, he wants to make things happen.

"He creates space for himself and he can create a lot of chances for us.

"He showed that on Saturday on numerous occasions and I think he is excelling in his role. I think he enjoys it."
