Bradley Dack is confident Blackburn Rovers won’t lose sight of their promotion prize - insisting the squad remain focused on getting over the line.

The Rovers playmaker missed out on a return to his former club Gillingham when the Priestfield clash was called off due to the weather last weekend.

That postponement means Tony Mowbray’s men are in the midst of a 19-day break from action before they return in front of the Sky cameras against Bradford City at Ewood Park on Thursday week.

With just nine games to go, Dack knows that now is the time to maintain performance and concentration levels.

“I think that (focus) has been there all season but obviously when you get to the business end of the season like we are now it is time to focus and to do everything we set out to do,” the 24-year-old said.

“Everyone in our dressing room knows what we want to do and the gaffer has drilled that into us.”

Rovers are without a game this weekend while promotion rivals Shrewsbury Town and Wigan Athletic are both in action.

Paul Hurst’s Shrews host AFC Wimbledon while the Latics are on the road at Bury.

But Dack believes the free weekend could benefit Rovers in the long run.

He added: “I think the international break could be good, getting a break while all the other teams have got to play.”
