Rovers have five players who will be aiming to feature for their countries during the international break.

CHARLIE MULGREW

The Rovers skipper will be aiming to win caps number 32 and 33, with Scotland in action twice during the international break.

Mulgrew has been a regular with his country during the last 12 months and has been in excellent form for Rovers this term.

He will be aiming to impress new Scotland boss Alex McLeish during their upcoming friendlies with Costa Rica and Hungary.

They host Costa Rica on Friday, March 23 (7.45pm) before travelling to face Hungary on Tuesday, March 27 (7pm).

CORRY EVANS

The midfielder will be hoping to put the disappointment of his last international behind him when Northern Ireland host South Korea.

Evans was penalised for handball in the World Cup play-off first leg defeat to Switzerland, earning a booking which ruled him out of the second leg as Michael O’Neill’s side were beaten 1-0 on aggregate.

The 27-year-old has played 44 times for his country, scoring one goal, since his international debut in September 2010.

He will be aiming to win cap number 45 when Northern Ireland host South Korea at Windsor Park on Saturday, March 24 (2pm).

DERRICK WILLIAMS and DARRAGH LENIHAN

The Rovers duo will both look to make their debuts for the Republic of Ireland after receiving their first international call-ups.

Williams and Lenihan were included in Martin O’Neill’s squad which was confirmed over the weekend after being named in the initial 30-man squad last week.

The Rovers defenders have both been capped at Under-21 and Under-19 level, but yet to feature for the senior team.

The Republic, who lost in the World Cup play-off to Denmark last time out, travel to Turkey for their friendly on Friday, March 23 (7.45pm) at the New Antalya Stadium.

JAYSON LEUTWILER

The Rovers ‘keeper is yet to make his league debut for the club, with his four outings so far coming in the FA Cup.

He is a regular in his national team squad, but has won just three caps, keeping clean sheets in them all.

His last came in a 2-0 win over Jamaica in September, and the 28-year-old will be looking to add to that when they host New Zealand in their latest friendly.

The game is being played in Murcia, Spain on Saturday, March 24 (3pm).
