ROVERS reporter Rich Sharpe hands out his player ratings after the 0-0 draw with Wolves at Molineux.
Man of the match: Darragh Lenihan 8
Was faultless in the air all afternoon, and was equally sound on the floor in what was a welcome return to fitness for the Irishman.
Came the closest to breaking the deadlock as his first-half header from a Craig Conway set play flashed just wide of the post.
Made one terrific last-ditch tackle to deny Morgan Gibbs-White late in the second half to preserve Rovers’ clean sheet.
David Raya 7
Didn’t have a shot to save until the 92nd minute, but was alert throughout, and his distribution was excellent.
Elliott Ward 6
Somewhat fortunate to not give a spot-kick away as he challenged Bodvardson. Comfortable otherwise in the middle of a back three.
Charlie Mulgrew 7
Brought a composure to the Rovers back three on his return to the side. Two second half corners threatened to create an opening.
Ryan Nyambe 7
You can’t knock his determination or effort, as he worked tirelessly down the right. However, let down time and again by his final ball.
Jason Lowe 5
First half cross created an opening for Conway, but lacked any real creativity thereafter. Booked for a late tackle on George Saville.
Danny Guthrie 5
Some neat passes in the first half, but most of them lacked penetration. Got away with a few niggling fouls before his second half yellow card.
Derrick Williams 5
One of the many Rovers to get in to good positions, without taking advantage. Had a weak shot saved in the second period.
Elliott Bennett 6
Had one of Rovers’ two attempts on target as his second half free-kick was saved by Lonergan. Put in a good shift, and was unfortunate to be sacrificed.
Craig Conway 6
A bright start saw him go close with a half-volley, and a free-kick was headed just wide by Lenihan. Drifted out of the game before his departure.
Sam Gallagher 6
Ploughed a lune furrow up front, and too often found himself isolated. Put in plenty of work, but never looked like breaking the deadlock.
