DAMIEN Johnson admits it’s all still to play for as his Under-23s bid for the end of season play-offs after claiming a fifth win in six games against Fulham.
Johnson’s side put in an impressive second half performance at Leyland on Monday evening as they came from behind to beat the Cottagers 3-2.

Goals from Lewis Mansell, Joe Grayson and Willem Tomlinson saw Rovers to victory, a win which moves them in to the final play-off spot ahead of next Monday’s clash with Aston Villa.
A win for Rovers at Ewood Park would guarantee them a play-off spot, though a draw would require West Ham to beat West Bromwich Albion.

“It is still all to play for,” Johnson said.

“Villa are a good side so it will be a good game next week.

“We’ll prepare for it and hopefully give a good account of ourselves.”

On the Fulham win, he told the club's official website: “It was a good result in the end for us.

“It was a difficult game, they are a good side who have done well this season, so we knew it would be a tough game and it was.

“So credit to the lads they stuck at it and improved in the second half which was pleasing and they got the result.

“We were disappointed at half-time as we felt in the first half we played too deep and with not enough intensity. We talked about playing higher up the pitch against them and making life a little bit more difficult for them as I felt they created too many openings.

“I felt we did that, we started the second half better, played a bit more on the front foot, they scored but we responded well and showed good character.

“We've got some good kids and a good group and a big part of the game is how you respond to setbacks.

“We went a goal down against a good side but they responded in the right manner, didn’t let their heads drop and scored three very good goals and possibly could have had more.”
