ROVERS reporter Rich Sharpe hands out his player ratings after the 2-2 draw at Carrow Road.

Man of the match: Lucas Joao 7

Scored twice, and unlucky not to grab a third after hitting the inside of the post with his first touch having come on just before the hour.

Was a real presence coming in off the left, not least for his second goal, a powerful header from a Danny Graham cross.

After doing little to catch the eye in previous outings, looked much more of a goal threat after being sent on.

Jason Steele 5

Will be disappointed with the first Norwich goal, allowing Murphy’s cross to slip through his hands, but beaten by a deflection for the second.

Ryan Nyambe 5

Given a bit of trouble by Murphy earlier on.  Sacrificed at half-time to give Rovers more of a threat down the right.

Darragh Lenihan 6

Could maybe have done more to stop Murphy’s cross which led to the first goal, but made some good interceptions thereafter.

Tommie Hoban 6

Eased his way back in to it, as the opening 20 minutes aside, wasn’t forced in to too much work on his return to the side.

Derrick Williams 5

Beaten to the ball by Jerome for the first, and despite attacking well, was caught out by substitute Jacob Murphy in the lead up to Norwich’s equaliser.

Liam Feeney 6

Slightly unfortunate to be brought off when he was having looked Rovers’ most likely threat in the first-half having gone close with a curling effort.

Danny Guthrie 5

Looked to be feeling the pace of a fifth game in 15 days.  Couldn’t dictate the play as he would have liked, and replaced by Akpan 10 minutes in to the second half.

Jason Lowe 5

Didn’t use the ball as well as he could have and was deservedly booked for a second half foul.  Huffed and puffed without really creating anything of note.

Elliott Bennett 7

Worked tirelessly, first on the right wing, and then at right-back in the second half where he played more as a secondary winger.  Some good deliveries in to the box.

Danny Graham 6

Should have done better with a first-half chance which he fired wide from 18 yards.  Lovely chipped cross to the back post for Joao’s second.

Marvin Emnes 6

In the thick of the action throughout, but needs to find more end product for all of his good work outside the box.  Lucky to escape unhurt after Dijks' first half horror lunge.

Subs

Connor Mahoney (for Nyambe, 46) 7

Saw plenty of the ball, and given plenty of rough treatment by the Norwich defenders.  Had a hand in the first Joao goal.

Hope Akpan (for Guthrie, 55) 6

Put himself about and worked hard enough.  Booked for a cynical foul on Wildschut in injury time as the winger tried to break clear.

Lucas Joao (for Feeney, 59)

Not used: David Raya, Wes Brown, Elliott Ward, Willem Tomlinson
