TWO former Blackburn Rovers stars will help kick off an amateur football tournament next weekend with a question and answer session at Ewood Park.

David Dunn and Brett Ormerod will join Wilpshire-based charity Child Action Northwest to launch this year’s Orphanage Cup competition by giving fans the opportunity to quiz them about their careers at a special evening to be held on Saturday, February 25.

Any amateur teams attending the event who sign up for the tournament on the night will also be in with the chance to win a training session with former Rovers striker Kevin Gallacher.

Since 1952, the cup competition has invited teams from businesses and organisations in Blackburn to help raise money for CANW, which has its roots in Blackburn Orphanage.

Tickets for the event, which will run from 6.30pm to 9pm, are available for £7.50.
