ROVERS reporter Rich Sharpe hands out his player ratings after the 2-1 victory at QPR in round three of the FA Cup.
Man of the match
Elliott Bennett 8
More than took his chance with an impressive display on the Rovers left. It was his surging run and cross which led to the opening goal, and his delivery throughout was impressive. Will have done his longer term chances no harm.
David Raya 7
Enjoyed a relatively comfortable afternoon. What he needed to do, he did well. Sent the wrong way for the penalty.
Ben Marshall 7
An all action display at right-back and then central midfield. The manager asked for total commitment, and got it.
Charlie Mulgrew 7
A little more agricultural with his distribution than in recent games, but didn't put a foot wrong all afternoon.
Gordon Greer 7
Looked to be the man penalised for what was a soft penalty. Didn't lose a header, and was just as strong on the ground.
Derrick Williams 7
Becoming a dependable figure at left-back. A first-half slip apart, was on the front foot throughout, winning many of his individual duels.
Liam Feeney 8
A lively performance on the flanks, topped off with a goal. An outlet throughout, and lucky not to create a goal for his team-mates.
Hope Akpan 7
Impressed in the first-half, but had less of an influence after the break. Helped his team build attack with some strong work in front of his back four.
Jason Lowe 7
Used the ball well in the first-half when Rovers were in the ascendancy. Made two good blocks in a combative second-half display.
Sam Gallagher 8
Always looked to have the beating of the QPR central defenders and had a hand in both goals when he saw a header, and left foot shot saved, as he was unfortunate to not get on the scoresheet himself.
Danny Graham 7
Backed in and battled away, as well as dropping in when Rovers didn't have the ball. A selfless display, but never got a clear sight of goal.
Subs
Ryan Nyambe for Akpan 74
Anthony Stokes for Graham 87
Wes Brown for Gallagher 90
Not used: Jason Steele, Lewis Travis, Connor Mahoney, Willem Tomlinson
