HUDDERSFIELD Town boss David Wagner won’t change his side’s approach ahead of the trip to Ewood Park this weekend.

The Terriers have slipped to sixth after a strong start to the season and will face a Blackburn Rovers side going for three straight league wins for the first time since October 2014.

And Wagner insists his side will continue to play their pressing style despite Monday night’s 2-1 loss at home to Wigan Athletic being a fifth in the last seven matches.

He said: “We brought our identity to the grass, played with speed and created good moments.

“Of course we had some problems in defending their counters, but all in all it was a good game from my side.”

Huddersfield look set to be without captain Mark Hudson and midfielder Sean Scannell after the pair went off injured against the Latics, while defender Tommy Smith will definitely miss the Rovers trip through suspension after picking up a fifth yellow card on Monday.

But Wagner, who has seen Huddersfield lose their last three league games on the road conceding 11 goals in the process, believes his squad can cope against Owen Coyle’s side.

“This will be a different style and a different game,” the German said of the visit to East Lancashire.

“It looks like those three players will be out for Saturday but as we have shown in the past we are able to bring fresh bodies in.

“Hopefully we will get our result on Saturday.”
