OUT-OF-CONTRACT Blackburn Rovers defender Tommy Spurr is attracting interest from Championship and Lancashire rivals Preston North End.

Spurr is currently weighing up the new deal which was put to him by Rovers after the club’s new manager Owen Coyle made it clear he wanted the left-back to stay.

But it is understood that the 28-year-old, who has made 84 appearances in three seasons at Ewood Park, has also been offered terms by Preston.
